In 2015, PGPC entered in a two-year contract with PGEI with the objective of verifying the structural controls of PGPC’s geothermal fields in both Tiwi and MAKBAN. The contract was renewed for another 2 years from 2018 to 2020.
In 2015, PGPC entered in a two-year contract with PGEI with the objective of verifying the structural controls of PGPC’s geothermal fields in both Tiwi and MAKBAN. In addition, PGEI is set to handle all wellsite geology aspects of PGPC’s new, re-entry, and worked-over wells. In both activities, PGEI is set to train, advise and guide PGPC geologists.
The project commenced with the successful remapping and updated evaluation of the structural controls of the Tiwi field. Wellsitting in two workover wells and one re-entry well was done. Hands-on training for PGPC geologists was also provided. Structural mapping and re-evaluation of the MAKBAN field, and wellsitting for the upcoming geothermal production and workover wells is currently being conducted.
